    The Psychology Department in the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences is seeking a Research Assistant on a full time, fixed term basis for 5 years. This post is expected to commence in November 2023.

    The opportunity

    The research assistant will work as part of the Mental Health in the Moment (MHIM) study funded by the Wellcome Trust. MHIM is an accelerated cohort measurement burst study of adolescent mental health over development (ages 11-19). The study will use online and smartphone-based surveys, as well as stress and sleep biomarkers to illuminate proximal influences on mental health across adolescence.

    Your skills and attributes for success

    • First degree in Psychology or other relevant subject area
    • Research experience in longitudinal studies with young people.
    • Current knowledge of adolescent mental health.
    • Experience in conducting research informed by the views of young people.
    • The ability to communicate complex information clearly orally and in writing within a multi-disciplinary team.

    This job requires

    • Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) Registration.
