We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Research Assistant to join our DARKO project team (see https://darko-project.eu/about/). This project aims to revolutionize intralogistics robots in agile production, making them more flexible, robust, and easily deployable.

You will enhance efficiency and safety in environments shared between robots and humans, contribute to system integration and validation, and support software developments in ROS1 or ROS2. You will also have the opportunity to learn and exploit activity patterns, and predict and communicate intents for risk-aware planning and coordination.

You will need to have a degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field, strong programming skills, and experience in human-robot interaction, machine learning, and robotic systems.

If you would like further information or an informal discussion about this exciting opportunity, please contact Prof Marc Hanheide, Professor of Intelligent Robotics & Interactive Systems, at mhanheide@lincoln.ac.uk.
