We are on the look-out for four social media and content creation graduate interns to join our team. If you love creating engaging content for online platforms, then we want to hear from you.

The new roles sit within the University of Wolverhampton’s Content and Communications team and are perfect for those looking to make the first step into a career in marketing and/or communications.

    About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative recent graduates who have a passion for communicating our story to our audiences via our online channels. The new interns will support and enhance the University’s social media presence by promoting activities across our courses and subject areas, creating social media posts and monitoring interactions and engagements.

The interns will be an active part of our academic Faculties, attending on-campus events to gather and create content such as videos, photos, blogs, and case studies. The roles will also involve providing excellent customer service by answering a range of queries on social media and the successful candidates will undertake ongoing professional development and training to maintain and improve their knowledge of content creation.

    What you'll get from us

    • A job where you'll be on the frontline, supported by an experienced team. You won’t be running errands for us; you will be taking an active role in the development of our online channels and communities.
    • Hands on experience creating content and supporting the development of the University’s online channels. In addition to our website, we have a number of accounts across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, with a large following on LinkedIn as well as a fledgling TikTok account that we’re excited to be developing in 2022.
    • An open door for your ideas. Got a great content idea? You'll have the freedom to try it out.
    • Training and development opportunities. This is a chance for you to learn new skills, as well as try them out!
    • A great start on your CV. You’ll be able to evidence experience of creating content for an organisation which, in the past year, has had over half a million unique social media engagements and two million new visitors to its website.

    What we’re looking for

Our ideal candidates will be recent graduates, with a degree or equivalent in a relevant area. You will have experience of using smartphones and/or cameras to create engaging content such as videos, photos, blogs and case studies, and an understanding of key social media platforms.

We are also looking for good written and verbal communication skills, and proactive and friendly team players.

If you have a passion for creating engaging content and a keen eye for what works on social media, then do get in touch, and start the next chapter of your story.
