    This paid 12 month internship provides an opportunity to be embedded in a R&D team working at the forefront of vehicle electrification technology. The fast paced natures of the work provides the possibility to be handed meaningful responsibility within a short period of time and a potential route to enter the graduate engineering scheme upon successful completion.

    Candidates should ideally be approaching the last year of their Masters degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Computer Systems Engineering)

    As part of the Project Management team, you'll work closely with all engineering disciplines in order to coordinate and successfully deliver project objectives.

    Responsibilities and Activities

    Interning students will have the opportunity to get involved in a broad selection of work including:

    • Support the Project Management team with planning and execution of electrification projects, ensuring successful delivery of program objectives.
    • Identify engineering effort required and highlight team resource gaps for different project activities, including design, manufacturing and testing.
    • Work with the Project Technical Leads to define scope, technical requirements and work breakdown structure during project development.
    • Document risks and issues, working with the relevant team members to drive through to resolution.
    • Create and maintain project timing plans, capturing duration, critical path and key dependencies.
    • Track component costs and lead times with the purchasing team to feed into the project budgets.
    • Support Project Managers at internal and external stakeholder meetings to maintain efficient communication and document open actions.
    • Support development and integration with new work management software tools

    Requirements

    • Candidate should ideally be approaching the last year of their Masters degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Computer Systems Engineering)
    • The internship is expected to be 12 months in duration, beginning in September 2024.
    • Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
