    Our Supply Chain team plays an important role in the delivery of Multifaceted Performance and Ecological Transformation. We partner with our internal stakeholders to procure the goods and services we need to meet our customers' needs. Because our suppliers are an extension of Veolia and it is important that we work together to raise standards, reduce risks, and find innovative solutions to challenges that benefit our customers.     Graduate Programme

    This will be a 2-year programme, where you gain valuable exposure and insight into Veolia services and strategic projects.

    As part of the Graduate Development Programme, you will go through a structured development programme, undertaking leadership, management, soft skills and safety modules with your graduate cohort.

    What will you be doing

    You will rotate between three core areas of the Supply Chain team building the foundational skills you need for a rewarding career in Procurement and Supply. There will be an opportunity to lead short to mid range projects in each rotation to support your development.

    At the end of the two year placement, you could progress into a Junior Category Manager or Project Procurement related role.

    • Procurement Excellence - You will learn about procurement policy, systems, data, sustainable procurement practices, supplier due diligence, audit processes and other key enablers that underpin the Supply Chain Department. There will be opportunities to run a campaign related to our Multifaceted Performance roadmap.
    • Category Management - Understand the procurement lifecycle and category management principles, gain exposure to a key spend area and work within a category team to develop applied skills (e.g. strategic sourcing, negotiating, contracting, supplier management etc.). You will have an opportunity to learn how to use Veolia's e-sourcing tool and potentially run a tender using this tool.
    • Project Procurement - You will work in a cross functional team to deliver customer solutions and understand the strategic and tactical elements of procurement that support project delivery for our customers.

    What are we looking for

    • Degree level qualification in Business, Procurement or Supply Chain Management is preferred (to be achieved by Sept 2023)
    • An interest in Procurement and Supply
    • A passion for sustainability and ecological transformation
    • Excellent communication and written skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
    • Numerate, analytical and creative problem solving skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and plan work to meet deadlines
    • Good team player who is commercially aware with strong administration skills
