Vertex is looking for enthusiastic, curious and dedicated students to join our Corporate Communications team for a one two year industrial placement. This based position is located at our International HQ based at Paddington, London. Applicants should be undertaking a relevant degree qualification and ideally have a strong interest in Communications, healthcare and how it relates to business and the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry.
Main Duties & Objectives
This position will largely be supporting the internal communications team with executing our planned employee engagement events and activities in 2023. Day to day activities include writing and management of the international intranet hub, video script development, media analysis and research and project management, as well as support with event logistics preparation and administrative responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to connect with Senior Business Leaders, work closely with members of the communications team in Boston and be an integral part of a young, dynamic International team.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates for this Placement must be studying the following qualifications:
- Currently studying English, Journalism, Communications or Public Relations or other relevant scientific related university qualifications
In addition all candidates must have:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in data analysis and reporting, extracting actionable insights to drive continuous improvement
- Have a strong interest in healthcare and the media
- Excellent team working and collaborative skills
