Vertex is looking for enthusiastic, curious and dedicated students to join our International Supply Chain team for a one-year Industrial Placement. This based position is located at our International HQ based at Paddington, London. Applicants should be undertaking a relevant degree qualification and ideally have a strong interest in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry.
Role description
The International Supply Chain Team leads the Commercial Supply Operations across the International region, making sure that Vertex’s innovate new medicines arrive at the right place in the right time all across the globe. The candidate would gain extensive knowledge of the supply chain operations behind bringing commercialised pharmaceutical product to the patient.
During Industrial Placements you will get the opportunity to learn about our industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Students can expect to be challenged by their work, connect with other students, and feel valued by the Vertex community.
Role duration from September 2024 to August 2025.

- Currently enrolled in a life science or business-related university qualification (e.g. Data Science, Marketing, Business Management)
- Interest in the pharmaceutical industry
- Well organised, analytical and data driven
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be independently motivated and a strong team player
- Demonstrates problem solving skills
- Good written, communication, project management and presentation skills
- Evidence of ability to meet deadlines
