About the role
We are a small, local practice based in West Yorkshire with a loyal and established client base. Our experienced team is led by our JVP and veterinary surgeon Neil who set up the practice 7 years ago. He is joined by our second vet Maria and an experienced nursing and reception team.
Having established ourselves as the ‘go-to’ veterinary care provider in the local area we see the interesting and varied caseload you would expect in a growing general practice. We also welcome visiting specialists in disciplines such as orthopaedics and imaging to keep as much of our caseload in house as possible. This, combined with the experience in the team means we will be able to work with you to provide a tailored induction program to make sure you always feel supported through the beginnings of life in practice and can build a solid clinical basis on which to develop your career. You will see a good mix of surgical and medical cases plus we offer extended appointments for our new team member and no sole charge will be required.
Our bright, spacious, purpose-built practice is situated close to a great selection of local amenities and transport links, including the train station which is under a mile and a half away. Dewsbury itself is nestled between Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford and Huddersfield so there is plenty to do. If you prefer the great outdoors, we have the Yorkshire Dales and Moors, Forest of Bowland, North Pennines and the Lake District and the Peak District all within easy travelling distance.
We offer help with finding accommodation, and a relocation package so whether you are moving from within the UK or from overseas we can help you settle into this beautiful area that has so much to offer.
The role can be full or part time, with occasional Saturdays depending on the rota but no OOH.
