Sutton Coldfield Vets for Pets is looking for a new or recently graduated vet to join their team and our award-winning graduate scheme.
The role
Our practice in Sutton Coldfield is based just 8 miles outside of Birmingham city centre and recently underwent an extension to accommodate our fast growing client base. We boast a larger than normal and dedicated colleague area, separate cat and dog wards, dental room, dirty procedures room, theatre and several consult rooms all in a light and airy environment. The surgery also comes fully equipped with endoscopy, dental X-ray, ultrasound and in-house lab.
The current clinical team of 3 vets and 8 talented nurses in Sutton Coldfield is headed up by our lead vet, Gabriel Wax. Gabriel graduated in Italy over 20 years ago and proudly opened Sutton Coldfield Vets4Pets in 2010. Since then and following the success of the practice, Gabriel has also opened practices in Lichfield and Stechford.

You’ll be supported from day one by a dedicated mentor/Vet GDP Advisor, you’ll also be able to take paid leave to attend the varied CPD programme designed by vets specifically for new graduates. As you build your confidence in caring for pets and their owners, you’ll grow your own client base and see the continuity of cases with the support of your wider team. You won’t be in sole charge of cases until you’re ready.
The role is full time with a weekend rota.
As a standard on the Graduate Development Programme we offer a 2 year programme with no financial tie-ins, guaranteed starting salary of at least £34,000 per annum with reviews each year on programme, 10-12 clinical/non-clinical structure CPD days a year with covered travel costs, access to wellbeing support and free membership of wellbeing app and support with practice transfer should the need to arise. We also arrange fun social activities where you can engage with your fellow graduates!
