As a member of the Energy Systems Telecommunications Team you will play a key role in bringing Viasat’s engineering expertise to the petrochemical, renewable energy, carbon capture, hydrogen, LNG, and maritime infrastructures across the planet.
The day-to-day
You will start your career with a 2-year journey exploring the different Engineering fields and product streams, working hands-on on current and new projects, and developing your knowledge and skills through the mentorship of our team members who accompany you throughout the programme. Additionally, you will:
- Work as Project Engineer on key delivery projects for our Energy Services clients across the globe through the entire project lifecycle.
- Liaise with suppliers and third parties and assist the project management group to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of each project on time and budget, ensuring that all agreed customer requirements are met.
- Travel to attend customer meetings, project review meetings, FATs, vendor system testing, provide site installation supervision, site commissioning and witnessing SATs both on and offshore as required.
- Have quarterly conversations to review your progress, goals and learning needs.
- Join Viasat mentorship program, which will give you access to growth sessions with senior leaders and executives. You will eventually become a mentor to future generations of Graduates.

What you'll need
- Studying towards a degree 2.1(Hons) or higher in a relevant Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications) discipline and graduating no later than August 2024.
- Must have UK citizenship or a valid work permit.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Available full-time from September 2024, based at our office in Aberdeen (Hybrid).
