    Reporting into the Procurement Manager, you will be a key part of the Procurement and Finance Function working towards building and maintaining a robust supply chain with the focus of business continuity and spend management.

    About the role

    This role will be a hands-on opportunity for a driven individual seeking personal and professional development. The key responsibilities will be to manage our spend management system, Procurify, as well as partnering each department to fulfil and improve their procurement needs.

    Key objectives

    • Ensure the effective administration of procurement systems and data accuracy to streamline processes.
    • Implement effective spend management strategies to reduce costs and maximise value.
    • Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient management of purchase orders by internal policies.
    • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cost savings, quality, and service levels.
    • Leverage data and collaboration with departments to anticipate procurement needs and optimise inventory levels.
    • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes to ensure operational efficiency.

    Key responsibilities

    • System and Data Administration:
      • Manage procurement data in Procurify, ensuring all purchases, budgets, and orders are correctly recorded and tracked.
      • Ensure system data is up-to-date, accurate, and complies with company standards and protocols. Analyse data to recommend process improvements and cost-saving opportunities. Raise POs in accordance with internal policies and vendor agreements. Ensure timely approvals for POs and resolve any issues that may delay the ordering process.
    • Spend Management: Collaborate with each department to understand their procurement needs and budget constraints.
      • Monitor and assess spend patterns across departments to identify opportunities for cost reductions and process optimisation. Proactively identify areas for cost savings through better procurement strategies or supplier negotiations. Work with suppliers to consolidate orders across departments, identifying volume discounts and cost efficiencies opportunities.
    • Forecasting Demand: Collaborate with departments to forecast future procurement requirements based on business activity, product launches, and other factors.
      • Provide proactive support to departments by anticipating future procurement needs, ensuring stock levels and services are maintained without over-ordering.
    • Efficiencies & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving strategies within the procurement cycle.
      • Work closely with other functions such as finance, logistics, and operations to streamline workflows and ensure effective procurement strategies.

      Skills, knowledge and expertise

      Essential skills & experience:

      • Proficiency in IT – Spend management software is advantageous
      • Understanding of supply chain and business. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

      Desirable skills:

      • Experience in procurement.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or similar data analysis tools.
      • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
