    Job description

    The Business Performance Analyst is a key role within Visa reporting directly to the Performance & Planning Lead. The role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the European Scorecard and the systematic production of other key sources of Management Information (MI) utilized by the Business Planning and Operations team.

    This hands-on role requires a strong data and business analysis skillset.  You will have the ability to summarize and communicate insightful analysis of key trends to senior audiences, highlighting key Business Risks & Opportunities. You will also be experienced in operationalizing MI processes and driving their continuous improvement.

    The role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, strong analytical skills and the ability to drive high profile work. You will require excellent organisational skills, an action-oriented approach and, be comfortable navigating challenging forces and working in a fast-paced environment with significant change.

    Essential Functions

    • Support the definition and delivery of effective scorecards and performance measurement, as a mechanism to drive successful execution of strategic objectives and improved visibility of performance shortfalls
    • Produce the Europe MI Pack Management Information (MI) Pack in a timely manner each month, incorporating the Europe Scorecard and key strategic insights from across the business
    • Collaborate with Global Business Planning & Operations to solve problems regarding reporting in the Scorecard Tableau tool
    • Engage with business owners to gather qualitative and quantitative intelligence, undertaking data analysis to identify the drivers behind trends, enrich Scorecard commentary, and inform decision-making at both European and Global levels

    • Support broader Performance Management activities, including the annual Scorecard planning process in partnership with global and regional stakeholders
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the European business drivers, risks, and opportunities, how these fit into the overall business strategy, and how they can support the Performance Management cycle
    • Be proactive in seeking to continuously improve BPO activities and outputs; facilitate knowledge-sharing and efficiencies with teams both within and beyond the CEO Office
    • Support business discussions and reviews with Global (including the MBR) by co-ordinating the production of executive slide decks and providing insights into the Europe Scorecard results
    • Maintain the BPO Management Information roadmap and drive ongoing MI efficiencies and improvements, ensuring that data regularly utilised by the CEO Office is sourced in a lean and reusable manner
    • Maintain scorecard governance documentation including the process RACI, metric methodology, change management process, and scorecard compilation process
    • Champion good Data Management and Governance practices, engaging with data producing teams across the VEL region to drive best practice, improved quality and greater efficiency
    • Ensure that data is managed in compliance with relevant regulations and European policies—including GDPR and records management

    • Demonstrate excellent collaboration skills partnering with internal stakeholders to support the work of BPO and the broader CEO Office

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of the following: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business, or other quantitative fields
    • Experience in financial services, consultancy or payments preferred (but not essential), ideally with some combination of strategy, commercial, operations, or finance experience
    • Demonstrated exceptional analytical skill with experience managing and manipulating large datasets in Excel (essential)
    • Tableau, PowerBI skills would be advantageous, but not essenital.
    • Ability to communicate complex ideas and analyses effectively—verbally, visually, and in writing to stakeholders at all levels
    • Ability to solve problems and service and support a range of internal and external customers, often in parallel and within a shifting set of priorities
    • Strong personal presence and stakeholder management skills
