    As a Planning Analyst Undergraduate, you will be based within the Customer Operations team.

    Your main focus will be to provide support to the planning analysts and senior planners within the team, enabling them to support Customer Operations in meeting its budgets, performance targets and strategic goals via effective workforce planning, scheduling, keeping the shared mailbox up to date and ensuring historic data is recorded accurately.

    This role will be great for you if you are data driven, analytical and, may be studying towards a financial related degree. This placement isn’t all numbers though, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with, present to and build relationships with stakeholders of all levels.

    Working within this role for a year is sure to give you the a strong foundation and understanding as to the background work that goes into making a large organisation work, the logistical processes and business decisions that sit behind the smiling faces that greet customers every day.

    What you could be doing

    • You will own and manage the Planning mailbox for all areas, responding to advisor and manager queries around shifts and holidays, ensuring emails are responded to within SLA
    • Ensure that the workforce management system is accurately updated
    • You will work with the Planners to schedule advisors shifts in advance of the 4 week publishing window
    • Make sure planned investment time (e.g. training) is added to schedules in a timely manner and at an appropriate time to meet customer demand and service levels
    • Track allocation and attendance of planned events and flag any exceptions back to the planners to manage with the operation
    • Create and own a mailbox workload report that monitors types of requests, volumes per request and present this report monthly in the planning meeting
    • Support the planners with the collation and capture of daily data that supports their day to day management of their respective departments

    What can you bring with you?

    • You will be enrolled at a University which offers a 1 year industrial placement
    • You will be studying towards a business or finance related degree
    • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • You are analytical, focus on accuracy and have effective problem solving skills
    • A good understanding of MS office, and particular focus on Excel usage
    • Attention to detail is important in this role
    • Strong organisational skills, able to work on your own initiative
    • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines

    What to expect from the assessment process

    If you are successful after completing your video interview, you will be invited to attend an assessment centre at our Milton Keynes offices. Here, you will complete a Competency Based Interview, deliver a Presentation and take part in a Group Exercise. We’ll provide you with appropriate support and guidance before you attend.
