    Our Risk Management Teams work with the data the business produces to identify and monitor risks, creating and delivering reports for management, much of it in line with regulatory requirements.

    As such our team has responsibility for credit risk management and are a key part in ensuring the financial success of Volkswagen Financial Services UK (VWFS) and Volkswagen Bank UK branch (VWB UK)

    What you could be doing

    Risk Management

    Our Risk Management Teams work with the data the business produces, to identify and monitor risks, creating and delivering reports for management, much of it in line with regulatory requirements.

    As such our team has responsibility for credit risk management and are a key part in ensuring the financial success of Volkswagen Financial Services UK (VWFS) and Volkswagen Bank UK branch (VWB UK).

    You will be responsible for producing operational reports for the Bank and VWFS portfolios as well as getting involved in some ad-hoc reporting to support other business areas too! If you have an analytical mind and want to have real responsibilities then this could be the perfect placement for you

    Credit Risk

    An additional placement opportunity within risk mitigation would be a role within the Credit Risk team, who are responsible for developing strategies, which protect VWFS (UK) against credit losses resulting from customer non-payment.

    This includes the lending strategy for new credit applications as well as strategies for ongoing customer management and risk assessment, through to collections and debt recovery.

    The role of the Credit Risk Undergraduate is to support the Risk Manager with the implementation and testing of VWFS’ credit risk strategies, as well as to monitor the effectiveness of these strategies through the production of regular analysis and reporting.

    • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to deal with a variety of tasks
    • You have a keen eye for detail and accuracy
    • You use your own initiative to answer questions and solve queries
    • You are able to research and pull information together to support projects and other initiatives
    • You will be able to communicate clearly with the business both verbally and in writing
    • MS Office proficiency, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • You are able to analyse, interpret data and communicate your findings

    What to expect from the assessment process

    Once you have hit the apply button, you will be asked to complete multiple-choice questions to supplement your application. We’ll be in touch shortly after receiving your application to advise if you have been successful to complete an online video interview for you to tell us more about yourself.

    After completing your video interview, if successful, your final step in the journey will be for you to attend a virtual assessment centre, where there will be a Competency Based Interview, a Presentation and a Group Exercise. We will provide you with appropriate support and guidance prior to attending. You will also have the opportunity to meet some of our managers as well as our current Undergraduates.
