Job Description
Our internships give you the opportunity to apply your skills, gain industry experience and kickstart your engineering career.
Our internships are 9 months long and in that time we’ll make you an integral part of our team and give you a real job with real responsibilities and real results. You will work alongside our engineering experts, learning new skills and gaining new experiences.
Technical experience is key in our sector, and you’ll benefit from on-the-job training, mentoring, team meetings and 1:1s to support you to develop and make a real difference. We will encourage your personal and professional development with an internationally renowned brand.
You will spend your internship between our product development and product maintenance teams with the chance to see our products go from CAD drawings to huge 100 tonne haulers on our production assembly line.
- Support our engineering teams to design our products and support maintenance of our current production line
- Support design for Procurement, Cost, Manufacture and Maintenance
- Work to Volvo Construction equipment and industry design standards
- Make use of standard documentation forms to capture and communicate Technology updates as necessary throughout the business
- Support Continuous Improvement activities within our Motherwell site

What you will need
- Working towards/ completed BSc / B Eng in Engineering
- Understanding of 3D CAD modelling experience using Creo or a similar package
- Keen to learn and self-starter
- Analytical and detail focused
- Ability to solve problems and balance competing priorities
- Team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
