Wagada Digital has a single mission – to provide expert support to our clients whilst offering a positive work culture of learning and fun. Our team is everything to us and our clients flourish on the strong working relationships that we develop.
This is a supportive environment where the right staff can grow and develop as quickly as their ambitions will take them. Our team grabs the opportunities that we present to them to learn and develop and our clients thrive on working with an agency with a fantastic team environment.
What’s the job?
You’ll be supporting our development team on a variety of website and web app projects. Expect hands-on experience across different stacks, clients, and project types. This is a brilliant chance to build your portfolio, learn from experienced developers, and see how digital projects are delivered in an agency environment.
We’re not expecting years of experience — just a strong willingness to learn, solid foundational skills, and a proactive, can-do attitude
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the build of websites and web applications using technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
- Assisting with both front-end and back-end development tasks, including templating, basic logic, and troubleshooting bugs.
- Working closely with designers, project managers, and senior developers to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
- Participating in code reviews, standups, and sprint planning sessions.
- Learning on the job — you’ll be encouraged to ask questions, try things, and level up your skills across real projects.
- Gaining exposure to version control (Git), CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow), and potentially e-commerce (e.g., Shopify).
What do we need
- Recent graduates, or a self-taught developer with portfolio work focused on websites.
- Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and able to build clean, responsive web pages.
- Some experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue is welcome, but not essential.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress or Webflow) and/or Shopify is a big plus.
- Understanding of design-to-development workflows, especially turning Figma or Adobe XD files into code.
- Basic knowledge of version control using Git, and a willingness to collaborate using modern tools and processes.
- Eagerness to learn and improve — we’re looking for someone who takes initiative, asks good questions, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working remotely, managing your own time and communicating clearly with the team.
What you’ll get
- Generous holiday allowance starting at 23 days plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days
- A 4-day week on the last week of the month (10 extra lie-ins a year!)
- Flexible working opportunities
- A competitive salary and bonus of up to 10%
- Opportunities to train and develop
- Proactive career development – we’re a growing company and love to see our team grow with us
- Company pension
- Maternity and paternity benefits, plus flexibility for parents to make sure that you never miss the school play
- Innovative, exciting and supportive environment
- A fun, friendly team environment: twice-yearly team nights away, team socials and lunches, charity challenges, a great deal of banter and a healthy competitive spirit
We’re an inclusive workplace and embrace diversity and equal opportunities. We want to give everyone the chance to be the best version of themselves.
