Your New Role
The Intern, People & Culture will provide support to the People Partners across UK & EMEA in a variety of day-to-day HR activities, ranging from supporting the execution of HR programs, handles employee inquiries, including but not limited to Position Management in Workday, Onboarding & Offboarding, Data Management, serving as a P&C point of contact and often intakes information/requests from employees and managers and works to resolve in a proactive and positive manner.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Provide day-to-day admin support for the People Partner team on projects and general administrative activities. These include creation of job requisitions, updating trackers, taking notes in formal meetings, coordinating team meeting/activities etc
- Help execute with the People Partners P&C-related initiatives such as, organization design & integration, talent management, compensation planning, employee development, succession planning, and performance management.
- Coordinate the processes related to the hire and termination of permanent and temporary employees and contractors.
- Develop working relationships with stakeholders including People Partners, Shared Services, COE partners, and business employees.
- Updating electronic files and responding to escalated employee queries from Shared Services team.
- Coordinate with outside vendors on P&C-related projects & initiatives.
- Process P&C invoices and initiate Purchase Orders.
- Other P&C-related activities, as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in using Microsoft office packages especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident communicating with all levels of staff within the Company.
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with others.
- Attention to detail
- Adaptability and ability to work on your own initiative
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Enthusiastic and motivated team player.
- Must be discreet, diplomatic and treat information within the department as highly confidential.
- Ability to take initiative using own discretion and skills and work with limited supervision in a pressured environment.
The Internship
- You must be a current University student in your 2nd year of study, looking to spend your 3rd year on placement and graduating no earlier than July 2024.
- Salary: £22,000
- Contract Length: 12 months
- Start Date: Likely to be 26th June 2023
- You will gain hands-on experience working on business-critical projects.
