The International Private Wealth offering in London is one of the leading teams in the country and is in an exciting stage of growth following the recent merger between RadcliffeLeBrasseur LLP and Weightmans. The new offering Weightmans Radcliffes Individual Services has ambitions of being the leading national Private Wealth offering in the UK. The London team features a number of leading individuals in the Chambers HNW and Legal 500 rankings and has a strong client base of High and Ultra-High Net Worth Clients - many with international assets and aspects to their financial affairs.
As a Paralegal you will assist and support the team of solicitors on their caseloads of private client work and deliver great client service.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Assist on solicitors’ caseloads of private client work, including high value/complex probate work, estate planning for high net worth individuals and contentious matters under supervision of experienced STEP members
- Run own small caseload of files under supervision of the solicitors in the team (dependant on experience)
- Assist other solicitors and case handlers in the team and wider department with their cases as may be required
- Travel to and attend upon clients if required
- Prepare and file various correspondence, notes and documentation
- Assist with internally marketing the services of the team and wider department
- Achieve set financial and chargeable targets KPIs
- Ensure relevant deadlines and quality measures are adhered to
- Comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures
- Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values

About you
Ideally you will have previous experience as a Paralegal and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks.
We also require you to have:
- Keen interest and willingness to learn all aspects of private client law
- Interested in undertaking further qualifications specific to private client law
- Some business development skills and experience or interest in developing these
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and targets
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Flexible approach
