    The role

    The successful candidate will gain comprehensive experience in business reporting and data modelling as a vital member of the Wella Finance team. This role supports both Finance and Marketing functions, contributing significantly to the construction of the Wella Brand Performance Tracker and aiding in the interpretation of Wella business health by brand and channel. By providing insightful analysis and reports, the candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the overall success of the total Wella business.

    Key responsibilities

    • Brand Performance Reporting: Involvement in producing our first SISO performance dashboard for single source view of cross channel performance by brand. Ongoing working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all data feeds are updated and reporting dashboards are accurate and pulling executive summaries on performance reporting incorporating market share analysis from CMI. Working with the brand teams to ensure their timely and accurate input to the KPI performance reports on a monthly basis and then ensuring the cascade of the monthly brand reports to the LT and then to the wider business as necessary
    • Social, Influencer & PR Reporting: Working with the PR and Influencer and brand teams to ensure the timely collation and cascade of monthly reports for all topics reporting on performance with analysis and actions from the related teams.
    • Competitor Reporting: conducting periodic competitor analysis to be cascaded with performance analysis bringing to the attention of the business any key marketing, distribution, media or other activation initiatives the competitors have done which may be of interest to the business
    • Financial Performance Reporting: Construct and refine the Wella Brand Performance Tracker, generating ongoing reports for management. Produce Brand Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to facilitate understanding of each Wella brand’s health. Report on weekly performance of new product developments (NPD).
    • Gross to Net Analysis: Analyze Gross to Net Conversion by channel and brand, identifying key drivers behind variances versus benchmarks.
    • Gross Margin Analysis: Enhance the Monthly Gross Margin Report, delivering detailed insights on Gross Margin by brand and channel for management. Maintain the Gross Margin modelling tool.
    • Ad Hoc Data Modelling: Produce ad hoc Excel data models as requested.
    • PO Raising and approval for Marketing Team: raising and managing PO approval, GR and tracker reconciliation process for POs as required by the Marketing team

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Currently in the 2nd year of undergraduate studies, seeking a placement year in the industry.
    • Demonstrated drive to pursue a career in business analytics or finance.
    • Proficient in Excel, with a preference for experience in financial modelling.
    • Strong analytical skills enabling structured problem-solving.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at meeting tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven capacity for cross-functional work.
