18-month graduate programme introducing you to the forefront of the food industry with a family business which will look after you and your career development properly.

The William Jackson Food Group is a family business with a 170-year history in the food industry. We have dedicated family shareholders who take a long-term view on the way we do business, value our people, work with customers and suppliers, and look after the environment.

We stand for Great Food Proudly Made and today our Group has five fantastic food businesses – Abel & Cole, Belazu, Wellocks, MyFresh and Jackson’s Bakery. We create some great food in ways that make life better for our people, planet and communities. And in turn that makes us proud.

Our values are: Try Your Hardest, Play Your Part, Collaborate, Care, Learn from Mistakes and Be Positive. They define our culture and describe what we expect from all our colleagues to create an enjoyable, safe and rewarding work environment for all. They outline how we wish to do business; in our minds they make us and our businesses winners, provide a sense of achievement and ensure we enjoy our work.

    Let’s talk about you

Our graduate development scheme will give you a taste of the different food businesses within our Group and the various functions that make up the businesses, giving you brilliant insight into the food industry and our Group, with access to structured training and mentoring. We offer you a great deal of variety and real responsibility from day one, so you can start building relationships and learning from some of the best in the industry straight away.

As part of our 18-month graduate scheme you will have the opportunity to work in three of our businesses, so be prepared to move locations around the UK working in areas such as supply chain, finance, marketing, sales, purchasing, operations and HR.

After the initial 12 months you can decide what your final placement looks like and if our Group is for you, which function you wish to specialise in, and then at this point a tailored programme of training will be created for you, including mentoring and externally recognised qualifications to support your development.

We value everything you have to offer, you will be asked to help deliver projects, bring your own ideas to life and add your views along the way. You will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of our colleagues, including those on our senior teams.

As a graduate, you will be a valued member of our family. We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an Honours degree.

For us what’s most important is your attitude, your ability to solve problems, have a proactive work ethic, a desire to developing a broad range of skills and able to show your great interpersonal and communications skills.
