    The role

    The successful candidate will join our Finance Team and will be part of the team delivering our financial strategy. Throughout the placement you will be supported and mentored by one of our experienced finance professionals. The knowledge / skills that you’ll acquire during your placement include:

    • Assist in daily financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Prepare financial reports and analysis under the guidance of senior finance professionals to enable and support decision making and execution of the business strategy.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial element of the decision-making processes.
    • Deliver process improvement and change to create automation and efficiency.

    Core competencies

    When shortlisting applications for the Finance Industrial Placement we look for:

    • Students will have a minimum of two years’ experience at University before the placement starts.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Academic or work experience in a finance or accounting based field is desirable but not essential.

    By the time the placement begins, you must have at least one academic year of study remaining after your placement, whether this is in at undergraduate or master’s level. You must be enrolled onto this course prior to your year with us starting. When applying, please make it clear in your CV what your expected year of completion is to ensure you are correctly placed as eligible for the programme.

    Core skills

    In addition to the above, we are looking for candidates who are:

    • Creative.
    • Have a keen eye for detail.
    • Enjoy problem solving.
    • Are excellent team players.

    You don’t need to have a specific interest in motorsport to apply, we are looking for people with a keen interest in STEM subjects.

    The Williams Group is based in multi acre complex located in Grove, Oxfordshire.
