We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This role will be integral in reconciling marketplace remittances across our various online platforms, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and smooth flow of funds within the business. You will also manage the corporate credit card process, working directly with managers and directors to ensure timely and accurate submission of information.

This is a hands-on finance role, but it also offers the opportunity to drive process improvements. You’ll work closely with our in-house development team to support selective automation that improves efficiency — freeing up time for you to focus on higher-value tasks and collaboration across the team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build solid finance experience while contributing to meaningful improvements in how we work.

This is an office based role with potential for working from home up to one day per week following successful completion of probation period.

    What you’ll be doing

    • Reconcile and allocate B2C marketplace pay-outs (e.g. Amazon, Shopify, eBay)
    • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies by liaising with the relevant departments, both internally and externally.
    • Work with the in-house development team to improve and automate parts of the remittance matching process.
    • Own the corporate credit card process: chasing submissions, validating receipts and coding, and working with managers and directors to ensure compliance and timeliness.
    • Collaborate with other finance team members, particularly Credit Control and Purchase Ledger to provide support and cover where required.
    • Adhere to stated policies and procedures.
    • Any other tasks deemed by the Company to be necessary for the successful completion of the role.

    What we’re looking for

    • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and following up with stakeholders.
    • Strong communication skills, especially when dealing with colleagues in other departments.
    • A proactive attitude toward process improvement and collaboration.
    • Ability to identify financial issues and work collaboratively to find practical solutions.
    • Computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience with reconciliations, finance systems, or managing expense processes.
    • Experience working within a finance department is an advantage but not essential.
