Wood’s Technical Consulting service line is recruiting for Graduate Engineers to join our graduate programme based in Staines-Upon-Thames from Summer 2025.

The role
We are looking for dynamic individuals, wanting to make a difference to the energy transition, to support our projects in subsea and onshore energy transportation, including hydrogen, carbon capture, renewable and conventional energies. Supporting the energy transition through decarbonisation and green energies is a key part of our plans and we expect to see significant growth in these sectors, while at the same time meeting commitments to existing hydrocarbon development infrastructure.
Our graduate engineers will work on a range of projects under the guidance of experienced engineers and managers. The work and training from Wood will support the development of the graduate engineer and allow them to apply advanced engineering skills and management techniques to our range of projects.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for high-achieving graduates with a desire to learn – the ideal candidates should have minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s or Masters degree in an Engineering field (detailed under qualifications) enjoy problem solving / trouble-shooting, detailed analysis and willing to embrace new ideas.

- We will then be holding screening calls throughout December with those candidates that fit the criteria below
- Shortlisted candidates will receive invitations to assessment centres in January
- Assessment centres will take place in January / February depending on location and discipline
Qualifications

- Graduate engineer with a minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field or a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Sustainable Energy, Process, Pipelines, Subsea Engineering or other disciplines relating to clean energy, upstream and midstream oil and gas or offshore renewables industries from a recognised university
- Preference will be given to graduates with previous appropriate industry experience gained before, during or after their university courses
- Engineers who have undergone undergraduate internship in the area of subsea/pipeline/renewables engineering will have added advantage
- Demonstrate initiative, resilience and excellent communication skills
- Possess an ability to learn quickly and be adaptable and flexible to match business requirements
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environments
- Must have the right to work in the UK
