Wood is currently recruiting for Graduate Engineers to join our teams across the UK with core disciplines of Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical or general Engineering and Artificial Intelligence
The Role
Wood is deeply committed to the development of its people and recognise the importance of growing a talented team of professionals with expertise in Engineering to ensure the future success of the Operations and Maintenance organisations and the sectors that we support.
As a Graduate Engineer, you will have exposure to different parts of the Digital Consultancy business gaining vital skills and developing into a role suited for your individual skill set. We develop new operations and maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP, Maximo (utlising in house proprietary software tools), audit operational assets / businesses to highlight improvement in asset management across all aspects, and assist our clients with improving the safe, efficient and cost effective operation of their business. We also facilitate Engineering studies (FMEA, FMECA, Equipment Criticality, Maintainability, etc.) to assist clients in better understanding their issues in design and redundancy aspects (including spares management) within their assets.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for Graduate Engineers in core disciplines of Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical or general Engineering and Artificial Intelligence with a desire to learn and an ambition work within the Digital Consultancy marketplace; engineers who will enjoy collaborating across multi-discipline teams, problem solving, trouble shooting, detailed analysis, developing AI software tools and who are willing to embrace new ideas and take on challenging assignments.

Within our Consultancy business, we service a varied client base worldwide, including utilities and power generation companies, Oil & Gas Operators, Petrochemical companies, Pharmaceutical companies, technology innovation and research centres – to name but a few. We provide value added services bespoke to the clients' requirements across; advisory services, project management, owners engineering through all the phases of the project lifecycle. Our specialisms within the renewable energy sector include; onshore and offshore wind, green hydrogen, solar, storage and infrastructure, among others. Application Process and deadlines

- Closing date for all applications will be Friday 10th November.
- We will review applications in November.
- We will then be holding screening calls throughout November / December with those candidates that fit the criteria below.
- Shortlisted candidates will receive invitations to assessment centres and/or interviews in January.
- Assessments will take place in February depending on location and discipline.

Skills & Qualifications
Expected:
- Academic qualifications at BEng degree or higher in a relevant core Engineering discipline.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Previous experience either voluntary or work placement within an Engineering environment is desirable.
- Driving license valid for use in UK and abroad is desirable.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (UK and abroad) as part of work assignments.
- The right to work in the UK.
