The buying assistant will provide support to our buyers in the Direct Sourcing team. We run a very busy department and this role is crucial to our success, the buying assistant will provide operational and administrative assistance to all buyers and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Main responsibilities and duties
- Assisting the buyer with the selection of the right product mix.
- Writing, placing and tracking purchase orders.
- Managing the buying trackers, and purchase order trackers
- Manage all inbound sampling including the budgets
- Be the main point of contact between buying and Supply chain.
- Ensuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price.
- Managing the QC bookings for all buyers.
- Managing supplier invoicing in a timely manner
- Cap allocations across all platforms.
- Liaison point between customer service, supply chain and sourcing.
Skills required
- Microsoft office.
- Oracle PO Manager
- Salesforce and Mintsoft preferred but not essential.
Soft Skills required
- Well organised and able to prioritise
- High level attention to detail
