    The buying assistant will provide support to our buyers in the Direct Sourcing team. We run a very busy department and this role is crucial to our success, the buying assistant will provide operational and administrative assistance to all buyers and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

    Main responsibilities and duties

    • Assisting the buyer with the selection of the right product mix.
    • Writing, placing and tracking purchase orders.
    • Managing the buying trackers, and purchase order trackers
    • Manage all inbound sampling including the budgets
    • Be the main point of contact between buying and Supply chain.
    • Ensuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price.
    • Managing the QC bookings for all buyers.
    • Managing supplier invoicing in a timely manner
    • Cap allocations across all platforms.
    • Liaison point between customer service, supply chain and sourcing.

    Skills required

    • Microsoft office.
    • Oracle PO Manager
    • Salesforce and Mintsoft preferred but not essential.

    Soft Skills required

    • Well organised and able to prioritise
    • High level attention to detail
