Your new role whats involved
Join us for a Summer Placement or Year in Industry Placement at WSP and you’ll find yourself challenged in more fascinating and far-reaching ways than ever before. Environmental consultancy
Our Environmental placement students work alongside our environmental consultants in many different roles in a variety of teams across our Environmental discipline. They're involved in the planning stages of developments and carry out environmental assessments, from noise and vibration assessment to environmental management.

- You'll be studying Ecology, Applied Ecology or Biodiversity Conservation, Botany, Zoology or Marine Biology, Landscape Architecture, Arboriculture or Forestry, Acoustics Engineering, Music Technology or Sound Engineering, Archaeology or Heritage Conservation or Air Quality
- You’ll be passionate with the curiosity and creativity to identify and solve problems
- You’ll want to stretch and inspire us, speaking up about any new ideas you have
- You’ll want to throw yourself in from day one and put your studies into practice
- You’ll know it is important to keep everyone in the loop and will demonstrate this through excellent communication skills
- You’ll enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues
- You’ll have confidence to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively
