    WSP has a rich knowledge of industrial and energy processes, a unique combination of specialists’ skills and multidisciplinary expertise required to plan, design, build and operate a new plant, or to automate equipment in an existing industrial facility. We also help our clients across sectors to meet the rising demand for power and reliable energy and water services.

    Your new role what's involved?

    WSP’s experts possess a rich understanding of industrial processes and a unique combination of specialist skills. We combine these with the multidisciplinary expertise required to plan, design, build and operate a new plant, or to optimize production of an existing industrial facility.

    We are looking for individuals who are a proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Capable of working autonomously, demonstrating resourcefulness, and effectively managing time without constant supervision. Possessing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. Avid learner with a keen interest in continuous professional development, actively seeking opportunities to expand skillset and find innovative solutions. Adaptable and flexible, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work setting, readily embracing change. Committed to maintaining a high level of professionalism, consistently upholding organisational values and ethical standards.     You will be working on a project for a new facility you could be working on any specific aspect of the control and instrumentation or all of them. We deal with numerous different control and safety systems, specify all instrumentation, analysers and actuated valves for projects and design all the installation requirements.

    Our work uses a lot of ‘application’ engineering that is learnt on the job as well as key skills requiring specific industry qualifications for items such as safety systems and hazardous area design.

    Within this area we look to hire graduates with: 

    Instrumentation & Control – Instrumentation & Control Engineering preferred. Electrical & Electronic Engineering & various other Engineering degrees are also considered.

    What you’ll need

    • You’ll be graduating in 2023 or have graduated in 2022 you may have recently graduated with at least a 2:2 in a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject for the role
    • You'll be looking to start work in September 2023 or April 2024
    • You’ll ideally have less than 1.5 years relevant experience
    • You’ll be passionate with the curiosity and creativity to solve problems
    • You’ll want to stretch and inspire us, speaking up about any new ideas you have
    • You’ll want to throw yourself in from day one and put your studies into practice
    • You’ll have excellent communication skills
    • You’ll enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues
    • You’ll have confidence to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively
