Your new role whats involved
We have a vacancy based in Scotland for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering a variety of exciting projects across Scotland and the North of England. The ideal candidate will be confident, articulate and possess excellent written and oral communication skills with a desire to progress in the field of Quantity Surveying.
The candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying and be willing to work towards Chartered Status and keen to undertake additional job-specific training. The candidate will also be able to work on own initiative with support available.
The individual will:
- Lead, plan, manage and administer contracts including SBC/ JCT, NEC3 & NEC4
- Lead & manage individuals & multi-disciplinary teams
- Provide guidance and technical advice
- Produce monthly cost reports including project programmes, risk registers etc.
- Chair internal & external meetings
- Deliver projects including taking responsibility for all delivery aspects
- Manage the client relationship and service delivery on a commission or project basis in conjunction with senior colleagues
- Assist senior colleagues to construct bids for new work & presenting to Clients alongside Project Directors
- Work with other graduate colleagues

- School Refurbishments, Scottish Power depots and ASDA store renovations
- Private and Public Sector Projects, key clients include Scottish Power, ASDA and City of Edinburgh Council
- Currently a team of 5
- Aim to help with Chartership status
- The office is located in Glasgow city centre with home working flexibility.

Essential skills needed
- Degree qualified in relevant construction, engineering, surveying or similar discipline
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- MS Office proficient
- MS Project proficient
- A full driving licence
Additional useful skills
- NEC3/4 Accredited Project Manager
- Experience of NEC3, NEC4 and SBC/JCT contracts
- Experience of team management, leadership and planning
