Want to tackle some of the biggest challenges in social housing including decarbonisation, maintaining great homes and building safety? We’re looking for a graduate who is enthusiastic and keen to learn to work within the investment and asset team at WCHG. This is a varied role and candidates will have the opportunity to work in one or more the following areas:
- Housing asset management
- Energy, decarbonisation and environment
- Construction Project Management
- Building and fire safety
- Data management and analysis
This is a developmental role which will allow the candidate to learn through ‘on the job’ and formal training. We will develop a training package that builds on existing skills and your areas of interest.
Duties will include
- Alongside project managers, assist in progressing the delivery of planned maintenance projects
- Assist in the delivery of decarbonisation projects, including working with government grant funding and associated reporting requirements
- Develop strategy for achieving net zero carbon and report on progress against sustainability strategy
- Research and pilot new low carbon technologies, using data to inform future decisions
- Assist with asset management functions including managing stock condition surveys and undertaking asset performance modelling
- Management of complex and important asset information, ensuring reliability of asset data
- Report and analyse asset data to inform programme planning and ensure stock decency
We’re looking for someone who
- Desire to work within the Asset Management and Investment team of a registered Provider to gain knowledge and experience in the maintenance and asset management of social housing stock.
- Knowledge of current issues relating to the management of social housing including decarbonisation, building safety and maintenance together with a general understanding of the business and its environment
- Good IT skills, especially Excel. Knowledge in PowerBi/ data analysis tools, GIS or BIM software would be useful.
