The role
We require an enthusiastic and engaging person to join the Inspiring Choices team as part of the Office for Students’ funded Uni Connect Programme.
The Uni Connect Programme offers activities, advice, information and guidance on the benefits and realities of going to college, doing an apprenticeship and/or university.
In particular, the programme seeks to undertake outreach activity in specific local areas where progression to study beyond level 3 is lower than expected.
Required skills and experience
You will be passionate about working with young people and improving their access to further and higher education. Ideally you will be experienced in creating and delivering outreach activity that engages students, schools, colleges, and communities. You will be a strong team player, an effective communicator, working in partnership with stakeholders and building relationships.
Additional information
The post will be based at York St John University with opportunity for home working and there is a requirement to work on a flexible basis, including regular travel to locations within North Yorkshire and occasional evening/weekends.
