    We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Administrator to join the Developer Services Team. You will provide customers, internal and external, with a high level of initial application technical advice in relation to sewerage matters concerning their development. Could this be you?

    Where you fit in

    In this role you will provide customers, internal and external, with a high level of initial application technical advice in relation to sewerage matters concerning their new development enquiry. You will process all incoming applications and correspondence received within our service level agreements ensuring that sewerage colleagues have all the information required to allow a technical assessment to be provided within timescales.

    You will provide customers (domestic and developer) with initial technical guidance, advice, and support in relation to Building Control and proposed works in, on or around the existing sewerage network ensuring the integrity of Yorkshire Water Assets.

    You will ensure any developments maintain the integrity of Yorkshire Water assets and are fully compliant with appropriate guidelines and regulations including Water Industry Act, Water UK and Drainage & Waste Disposal : Approved Document H

    What skills and qualifications are we looking for

    • The successful candidate will have a background in administration of technical functions, preferably sewerage and / or the water industry
    • You will have an appreciation of the technical knowledge required in relation to the design and operation of sewerage networks
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills with different audiences
    • Previous experience of providing excellent customer service
    • Effective time management
    • Attention to detail and diligence
    • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and adapt to continuous change
    • Full UK driving licence, with no more than 6 points
    • Good IT skills, able to use a range of Microsoft Office applications

    We offer a salary from £27,520 - £34,031 per annum dependant on experience.
