The challenge

Part of being a #TrafficTransformer graduate at Yunex Traffic means you’ll take part in our fantastic graduate development programme, gaining practical experience working on real projects in a leading, global intelligent traffic systems company. You’ll bring fresh perspective to what we do, helping us to achieve our goals.

We will create an individual training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in Yunex Traffic.

Learn about Yunex’s products and services, the strategic priorities and customers

Spend up to half of your time on personal development, innovation and group business impact projects

As a member of one of the Agile software or embedded software development teams you will

Work with a product owner to understand and inﬂuence requirements.
Take part in collaborative planning and estimating of product features.
Design and document your software artefacts using industry leading tools and processes.
Create eﬀective and secure software solutions using contemporary so ware development languages.
Perform code reviews, debugging and refactoring to improve code quality and eﬃciency.
Demonstrate new functionality.
Learn to use automated testing tools to ensure quality standards are met.

Additionally, if you take the engineering management track, you will learn to

Manage requirements, costs, resource utilisation and variations.
Manage a positive relationship with stakeholders through outstanding communication.
Ensure all employees work safely and their workplace needs are understood and managed.
Promote a culture of innovation, autonomy and mastery to deliver strategic aim and vision.

The location of this role will be: Poole, Dorset.

Recruitment process

Applications for our graduate roles will close on 21st January 2024.

We will be holding in-person 'Getting to know Yu' days between mid February – early March 2024 which will allow candidates the best opportunity to showcase their potential and suitability for this role by using a variety of assessment types. This session will be held in an afternoon or morning slot and will typically include a combination of tasks and activities such as group problem-solving tasks, individual interviews, presentations, and role simulation exercises.

For some roles, there will also be an initial video (Microsoft Teams) or telephone interview - these are likely to be held during February 2024, before the Getting to Know Yu day. These interviews are typically competency based and a chance for us to find out what your motivations are for your next career.

Our 2024 graduates will join the business on 9th September 2024 so you must be available from this time to work full-time (at least 3 days on site).
