ZF Race Engineering provides high performance and safety-related products, systems, validation and reliability services through its Special Series, Motorsport, and Motorbike Product Lines. We are now looking for an enthusiastic colleague in the role of Graduate Algorithms and Control Engineer to join us in product development.
Your tasks as Algorithms and Control Engineer:
- Develop new capabilities in data and signal processing, vehicle control and intelligent algorithms
- Contribute to projects across ZF for vehicle motion control, electromobility, autonomous driving, active safety and digitalization
- Support business development and proposal generation
- Projects include control design and development, algorithm research and development, signal processing
- Implement algorithms in range of software languages and environments, embedded and Windows/Linux
- Real time control
- Apply your existing knowledge and learn a new set of skills on every project – our USP
- Work with Project Managers in Agile and waterfall project team environments
Your profile as Algorithms and Control Engineer:
- Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or Control Engineering (BSc/BEng essential: MSc/MEng with specialisation in High Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Control Engineering, Image Processing or Sensor Fusion preferred)
- Control and algorithm design knowledge
- Data and signal processing (e.g. for radar, video, other sensors), filtering, tracking and sensor fusion
- Software design, coding and testing skills using C, C++, Matlab/Simulink, Python
- Machine Learning for time-series data and/or dynamic models
- Flexible, willing to learn new skills
- Good communication skills
- Willing and able to occasionally visit customers and ZF facilities globally
- Fluent English language and excellent inter-personal skills for customer liaison
- Full UK Driving License would be desirable
