    We are reinforcing our team by offering a 12 Month Student Placement (£18,500 per year) at Blythe Valley Park, Solihull starting in September 2023.

    Working in a modern, well equipped, and purpose-built electronics laboratory supporting development of next generation safety critical automotive technology. Offering a mix of lab based, office and remote working, you will be working closely with design and validation teams and with other global teams within the ZF family. You will be working as part of a well-established team with a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw upon during the placement. You will be provided with support and all equipment required for the duration of the placement.

    Whilst primarily in an electronics role, you will be expected to get involved with other engineering disciplines as required to create real world solutions.

    Your tasks 

    • Support the V&V team in preparing hardware prototypes for test and evaluation.
    • Support the design team in the conception and execution of hardware tests.
    • Design and create test setups for design verification and support in-vehicle test activities.
    • Design and creation of bespoke hardware to assist software development activities.
    • Reporting and presentation of data to development teams and management.

    Your profile

    • Studying for a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, having successfully completed at least 2 years of their studies before starting the placement.
    • Competent in electronic laboratory practice as well as a sound electronics background with a good understanding of circuit principles.
    • Ability to work well as part of both small and large teams.
    • Must be flexible, self-motivated, and able to work with limited direct supervision.
    • Willingness to learn and develop new skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.
