Are you ready to create a brighter future together?

At Zurich our brand purpose is exactly that, to create a brighter future together for our customers, our partners, employees and the planet. It’s a promise that for our customers we will put their needs at the heart of everything we do, for our employees lets grow and develop together, for our partners - lets collaborate together to create mutual value and for the planet lets drive positive impact by integrating our sustainability work into how we do business.

Across Zurich, we are keen to recruit talented individuals with high potential and we value the ideas and perspectives interns can contribute to our business. With continual support from your team, you’ll be able to take ownership of your work from day one.

    Your opportunity

Zurich’s Change and Technology Management internship allows you to immerse yourself in a fast-moving, competitive and business-focused environment. If you’re keen to understand more about our large business, IT transformation programmes, change management skills and the technical and analytical skills needed to drive the implementation of critical business decisions, then this programme is ideal for you.

Our 10-week internship programme will give you the opportunity to develop career-orientated capabilities through a wide range of experiences. Your personal development manager will work with you to tailor your time with us, enabling you to make an informed decision about a future career with Zurich. You'll have a unique opportunity to work in a real-life business environment, gaining invaluable knowledge, skills and experience as well as unrivalled exposure to how a leading multinational insurance company operates.

Successful completion of your summer internship in 2024 could lead to you being offered a place on one of our graduate programmes starting in 2025.

What can I look forward to?

For our 10 week intern programme, you'll join a team within Zurich’s IT and Operations department; previous interns have worked in IT Architecture, Business Analysis, Project Management and Service Delivery. There are also plenty of other opportunities to meet people from around the business to understand more about Zurich as a whole.

You'll have the opportunity to learn from leading Change and Technology professionals and senior leadership who take a keen interest in your growth and value the contributions and perspectives from young, emerging talent. In addition to departmental day-to-day activities, you'll be involved in real projects that deliver value to our business and customers from the start. You'll find yourself working with and learning from experienced project managers, business analysts and the architecture team who are shaping the future of our business.

We want you to develop as much as possible during your internship and give you as much real, on the job experience as we can. That’s why we’ve put together an Intern Development Programme for the duration of your internship. You can expect to take part in skills-based sessions and business-wide project groups to accelerate your learning and development.

    What’s in it for me?

As well as joining a company that is passionate about sustainability and our customers, you can expect:

    • £20,000 pro rata salary
    • Pro rata holiday for the duration of your internship
    • Contribution towards private medical cover
    • 12% company pension contribution
    • Access to other flexible benefits

In return, you’ll be joining a business where creating a brighter, more sustainable future underpins all that we do. We’re also passionate about diversity and inclusion, which we have won numerous awards for. We want our people to bring the whole of themselves to work and everybody is made to feel welcome, regardless of their background, beliefs or culture.

    What you’ll need?

    • A 2:1 degree (predicted or recently achieved) in any undergraduate discipline
    • At least 96 UCAS points – CCC grades (or equivalent) from 3 A-level subjects excluding general studies
    • A* to C grade (9 to 4) in Maths and English GCSE

The ability to grasp complex concepts in a business environment is a must and you will need fantastic teamwork, communication, organisational and influencing skills, together with real enthusiasm and drive. You’ll be based within the IT and Operations department, so although an IT-related degree is not essential, it is desirable to have an interest in technology.

Here, you’ll have every opportunity to use your drive and enthusiasm to innovate the future of Zurich, where different opinions are valued, personal needs are respected, and opportunity is equal for all.

So, make a difference. Be challenged. Be inspired. Be supported. Love what you do. Work for us
