Jadesola is a Computer Science graduate from the University of Kent. She secured a Technology Analyst role at Bank of America, through Bright Network.
First, please tell us a little bit about yourself.
“I’m a dedicated and tenacious individual with a passion for learning and finding ways to improve myself. I have a Computer Science background,
but I also enjoy all things related to fashion.
I enjoy bringing my creative side to work but I also enjoy having a wider impact within the organisation. Outside of work I enjoy travelling, having new experiences and also like to go to the gym and swim.”
What motivated you to apply for the role?
"Ever since I was young I had a passion for technology and as I got older I started to grow an interest with the stock market.
I saw an opportunity with Bank of America to combine both of my passions to a company known for its innovation and strong reputation.
I was attracted to the global nature, opportunities to learn and progress my career at Bank of America. The chance to contribute to this as well as developing my personal skills, really motivated me to apply."
How did Bright Network help you secure this role?

What was the application journey like?
“After I applied for the job, I completed a HireVue interview where I was asked a number of competency questions.
After this, I made it through the second round where I had to prepare a presentation about something I had created. I had to do a technical interview where I was asked Phython-based questions and the last interview was where I was able to show off my personality.
Overall, the Bank of America application and assessment process was a fulfilling experience."
What have I learnt from going through the process?
“Going through the process has taught me the importance of preparation, being self-critical and clear communication.
I learned how to articulate my experiences and link it to the job I am applying for. I was able to work on my soft skills for the competency part of the interview. I learnt to grow confidence in myself and stay resilient as applying for many jobs is a tedious process.
Most importantly the process helped me gain a better understanding of the kind of job I want to be in and how I can contribute to a team.”

"My top three tips would be:

“I’m excited to fully establish myself within my career and am also looking forward to building my professional network.
I’m most eager to complete projects to an exceptional standard and to continue to learn from my experienced co-workers.
Other aspects that excite me, are the opportunities to work at the intersection of technology and finance and being able to solve problems whilst improving the way processes are done.”
