A Day in Their Life

Katie graduated from York last year with a degree in Law and, after applying to the role through Bright Network, is now 5 months into her graduate placement at Deloitte. We wanted to catch up with Katie to find out how her time at Deloitte has been.

We recently caught up with KCL graduate and Bright Network Aysha who is now four months into her graduate programme at Deloitte. She was kind enough to answer some of our questions as well as sharing some of her advice for fellow members. Read below to find out what she had to say.

We recently caught up with Bright Network alum Rafsan. After initially studying Mechanical Engineering at UCL for 3 years, Rafsan completed a 1-year internship at Rolls-Royce and an MSc at Imperial College London. Now, he’s back at Rolls-Royce doing a Graduate Placement. We had a chat with Rafsan to hear all about his career so far – including what his role entails, why he chose this career path and the advice he’d give to students looking to follow in his footsteps.

We caught up with Bright Network Alumni Sam and Seren, both of whom are several months into working at Citrix. Sam joined after graduating from York with a degree in Physics, and Seren is working at Citrix on an industrial placement. They answered a few questions we had about working at Citrix, and shared some advice that they would give to graduates or interns joining the firm.

Bright Network member Danni has recently completed an internship with HSBC, and was happy to tell us a bit about it after coming to Bright Network Women in Leadership 2017. She’ll be returning to Queen Mary University of London to complete her second year of studying Economics in October 2017.

Ankita told us about the application for her internship at Deloitte in a previous success story, and we thought it would be great to hear a bit more about what the role entailed. We caught up with her after she’d finished so that she could share her experiences and what she learned from the role itself.

Akanksha, an economics student at the University of Nottingham, has recently completed an internship with Deloitte, and found the experience really boosted her confidence in the career path that she wants to persue after university. She answered a few questions about how she found it, and what she'd want to share with other Bright Network members.

Bright Network member Alice was happy to talk to us about her ten week internship which she secured with Goldman Sachs. When she's finished, she'll be continuing with her degree in Mathematics from the University of St Andrews.
