Our diversity and inclusion initiatives are designed to help students and recent graduates fulfil their full potential during their early career and beyond, regardless of background. We aim to ensure everyone has the tools they need to advance their talent and access the very best opportunities. We believe a workforce is most effective when diversity of thought and individuality are allowed to flourish.
Building a network and making connections within the business world is so important to discovering different opportunities and getting ahead – and this is what our events are all about. We connect our diverse membership base with top employers, inspirational business leaders and support them to develop key business skills. Our Mini Networks
Join our Black Heritage or Women’s mini network and join like-minded members with similar backgrounds. You’ll receive exclusive advice, event invitations and hear from firms that are thought leaders in diversity and inclusion strategy.
Members can join the mini-networks by editing your profile.
Through the Diversity & Inclusion Hub, we share with you essential advice, cutting-edge developments in diversity and inclusion research and spotlight those firms that put diversity first.
Each year we conduct the Bright Network Research Report to better understand the challenges that our members face. This year’s report revealed a confidence gap between men and women, a belief among some of our BAME members that diversity and inclusion initiatives at firms are focused on filling a diversity quota, and that a significant portion of LGBT+ students feel that they cannot pursue any career path they wish. Our diversity initiatives are informed by our research - better understanding these challenges is an essential step in tackling them.
We work with our partner clients to improve social mobility and diversity, helping them find talented graduates for their business and supporting their own diversity and inclusion initiatives. This allows us to offer our members the best opportunities with leading graduate employers across a wide range of sectors.
We are also a proud partner of The Sutton Trust, an amazing organisation that works to raise the aspirations of young people from low and middle-income backgrounds and to increase their chances of accessing top universities and professions.
At universities across the UK, we work with societies and organisations to support their work. You may see us on campus running workshops designed to upskill and inspire students. Last year, we partnered with Bristol SU to host their Equality and Diversity Week. Through a series of talks and skills workshops, including a disabled students employability workshop and a careers fair, students learnt more about diversity initiatives and opportunities at top firms.
We are excited about what the year ahead holds for our Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. We always want to hear from our members so please let us know what you think, what is important to you and what else we could be doing to support your to success.
