Meet Rebecca, Strategy Analyst Graduate Programme

Book open Reading time: 1 min

"Since we often encounter new situations, there are lots of opportunities to challenge yourself and develop your problem solving skills."

Meet Rebecca...

Who joined us on our Strategy Analyst Graduate Programme. Rebecca explains what appealed to her about Capital One, and what she enjoys about her role now she's here.

"Before applying to Capital One, I considered all my options. I looked into consultancy, banking, wealth management and other forms of financial services. I wanted to do something that would stretch me on a professional level, but somewhere I could enjoy a good work-life balance too.

There are a lot of different elements to the Strategy Analyst role, which means you often face tasks or situations that you've never faced before. That means there are lots of opportunities to be involved with work that challenges you and develops your problem-solving skills.

One great thing about Capital One is the level of responsibility you're given at such an early stage in your career. I've only been working with the business for a year, but already I've implemented some important changes, owned the intent behind our account closures strategy, and helped to ensure lots of great customer outcomes.

The thing I enjoyed most, however, was my Graduate project, which involved exploring opportunities to engage customers through adjusting our credit limit increase strategy. The project was all my own work and I was really proud of how it turned out."
