Application deadline was 9th February 2024, 11:59pm

International Women's Day is taking place virtually on 8th March and is designed to celebrate women's achievements while calling for greater gender equality. After the success of our previous Student Leadership Boards, we are delighted to announce that we're once again looking to collaborate with a group of 6 bright and ambitious students passionate about championing gender equality.

By joining the Student Leadership Board, you'll take an elevated role in the run-up to the event, as well as on the day to help maximise the benefits of the event for yourself and other members.

It's a great opportunity to enhance your CV with valuable skills – leadership, communication, marketing, and networking.

What's new for this Spring, and why should you apply?

  • Play a leading role in growing the International Women's Day Guild community.
  • Receive a personal certificate of participation and LinkedIn endorsement for the Student Leadership Board
  • Free CV review with personalised feedback from our HR department.
  • Highlighted in the digital programme provided to all attendees and employers as a member of the Student Leadership Board.

What will the role involve?

As a Student Leadership Board member, you will be taking a more influential role before the event. Your core responsibilities will be:

In advance

  • Attending one virtual pre-event meeting with the Event Manager lead for International Women's Day
  • Keeping attendees warm through our online community – Guild. Find out more about Guild here
  • Support with spreading the word about Bright Network International Women's Day at your university, societies and posting on social media
  • Working together with the event marketing lead to refer students to sign up to the events
  • Sending in a short, 100-word, third-person biography and photo that will be displayed on screen at the event and included in the digital programme that will be accessible to all attendees and employers

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for the International Women's Day Student Leadership Board to be made up of people who:

  • Are motivated and enthusiastic about maximising the event's impact for employers and students
  • Have successfully applied and received an offer to attend International Women's Day 2024
  • Have familiarity with social media promotion. This would be a bonus but not essential

How to apply:

To apply to become a member of the International Women's Day Student Leadership Board, click the Apply Now button at the top of the page and complete the application form by 09th February. There are 6 spaces available and it is reviewed on a first come, first served basis. We recommend you apply as early as possible - the sooner you apply, the sooner you will be on the board and start making an impact!

We look forward to receiving your application soon!
