Bright Network members at the University of BristolWe've partnered with the University of Bristol Students' Union (Bristol SU) to bring you Equality & Diversity Week - an inaugural series of empowerment and employability sessions to support students from all diversity backgrounds and underrepresented groups.

The 93% Club Presents: LinkedIn Headshots
Come and get a professional headshot taken for your LinkedIn profile!
We've partnered with The 93% Club - UoB's State School Society - to offer students from Widening Participation backgrounds a free, professional headshot for your LinkedIn profile. The Bright Network team will also be on hand to offer one-on-one advice on how to set-up or improve your profile to make the best impression online.

ACS Presents: Let's Talk Sponsors
Bristol's African Caribbean Society work with some of the biggest champions of workplace diversity, including KPMG, Morgan Stanley and TeachFirst. We're delighted to welcome ACS's partners to Bristol SU to discuss their diversity initiatives and company values with ACS members. You will hear from the firms and then have an opportunity to network with their representatives over some drinks.

Disabled Students Employability Workshop
EmployAbility is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to assisting people with disabilities into employment and working with employers seeking to become more ‘disability inclusive’. Their highly-experienced team will be joining us at Bristol SU to provide key advice and opportunities including: internship, work experience and graduate programme opportunities with top employers, advice on how to approach the application process and guidance on key issues such as disclosure of disability and provide reasonable adjustment advice. They'd love to meet you!

- Eligibility: EmployAbility are dedicated to assisting students and graduates with all disabilities, including dyslexia or long-term health conditions.
Women of Colour in Leadership Panel
Hear from our inspiring female leaders as they share insights on topics such as: how to become a successful woman of colour in a leadership position, the misconceptions and assumptions about women in leadership roles and how to deal with sexism and misogynoir in the workplace. The panel will be chaired by Desiree Ibekwe, the Equality, Liberation and Access Officer at Bristol SU and will end with a Q&A and networking opportunity with the panellists.

CV Sit Down
When it comes to application advice, Bright Network are the experts. As your CV is often the first things an employer will see of you, it's important to get it right. Come and see the team at the Arts and Social Sciences Library for a one-to-one CV consultation. We'll help you structure your experiences, pull out skills you may not realise you had and assist with simple changes like formatting, spelling and grammar to ensure you make the best first impression in your application.

LGBT+ Empowerment and Employability
We're delighted to welcome the LGBT+ leader of a top UK firm to Bristol SU, to discuss how their sexuality has affected their working life. Find out about the challenges this professional has faced in their career, how workplace culture is developing along with attitudes towards LGBT+ issues and what initiatives have been put in place by leading firms to ensure that sexuality is not a barrier in the workplace.

Bright Network Meet & Greet: Women in Science
Want to find out what Bright Network get up to on campus? This year, we're working with Women in Science Society to bring our personalised, expert advice to University of Bristol students directly - starting with a meet and greet! Say hello to Bright Network and the Women in Science team, get some informal careers advice and meet like-minded students on your course.
