About them
The UCL First-Gen Society was established in 2018 with the following aims and objectives:
To provide an inclusive and supportive environment for UCL students of the first generation in their family to attend higher education.
To support disadvantaged students more broadly and prospective UCL students through widening participation and outreach work.
They aim to do this through regular pastoral and professional events as well working with UCL’s Widening Participation team. In their short existence, they have organised a number of social events as well as successful workshops and networking events to support their members’ careers ambitions.
The society is thrilled to be partnering with Bright Network, providing their members with even better support and resources.
