About Warwick Engineering Society

We are one of the largest student run societies at the University of Warwick and we are proud to be the only double award-winning society in the country having won the Bright Network’s Best Impact on Campus Award and NUE’s Best Society of the Year Award in the academic year of 2018/2019.

Their goals

Our mission is to be the best student-run society in the UK and each year we work hard to achieve new goals. We accomplish this by planning and hosting numerous events, such as our two flagship conferences, our equality forum ‘Borderless’, careers events and site visits. We are proud of the strong community we have grown, and we aim to learn from our experiences to continuously improve.

We are the largest society in the University of Warwick, with over 60 exec and 2700+ members. Our 18 teams cover all aspects of Finance, from Corporate Finance to Fintech and Venture Capital, in order to give our members the best possible insight into what a career in Finance has to offer. We are sponsored by some of the most prestigious Investment Banks and Commercial law firms and we run regular events alongside these firms to help our members navigate their application processes.

Their goals

We aim to make a career in Finance accessible to everyone at the University of Warwick, regardless of their degree subject or background. Furthermore, through insightful events, we can educate and prepare members for applications to internships and graduate schemes, allowing them to have the best chance of success possible.

About Warwick Women's Engineering Society

Warwick Women’s Engineering Society (WWES). We launched in December 2018 with the aim of diversifying the engineering sector by supporting those underrepresented in STEM. Our society is not just for women in engineering but is open to anyone who is passionate about creating a friendly and welcoming environment. To fully solve the problem, we must collaborate across all groups regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation or religion. Prior to our first ever election November 2018, the society began with 30 members, since then our Facebook page has grown to 600 members and we currently have around 300 subscribers to our newsletter. Through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events, Socials, events and outreach, we hope to tap into the huge potential across the local area. It is our belief that by connecting outstanding students with future employers, we can begin to break those barriers that prevent minorities from accessing the industry.
