About You

With a RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying you will assist an experienced team in the delivery of all-round Building Surveying services to a wide range of clients.  You will receive tailored APC support, unlimited internal training, and an opportunity to progress with a forward-thinking busy city centre studio.

Required Skills & Experience

  • RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying (BSc Hons is preferable)
  • Recent post-graduate experience in a similar role (circa 0-18 months’ experience)
  • Recent experience of managing small projects
  • Client-focused attitude and approach
  • Awareness of project fees
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word and Outlook and AutoCad
  • Good level of basic technical knowledge and ability to use in practice
  • Driving licence and willing to travel        

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible, under supervision, for smaller projects and assisting on major projects with a defined level of responsibility
  • Manage service delivery on minor projects under supervision of Building Surveyor or senior member of staff
  • Undertake measured surveys and plot existing and proposed plans
  • Prepare tender documents, working drawings, specifications, H&S risk assessments and schedules of work under supervision
  • Evaluate tenders and assist in production of tender reports
  • Co-ordinate design information with other consultants and other members of staff
  • Prepare and submit planning applications and other submissions for statutory consents under supervision
  • Assist Building Surveyors and senior members of staff with contract management of projects and on site
  • Attend site and client meetings and produce minutes
  • Carry out planned maintenance and condition surveys under supervision
