The Equipment Specialist department provide the principal point of technical contact between internal and external equipment suppliers and company multidisciplinary project/ production teams, covering the whole payload product life cycle - from monitoring the development of new equipment (and assessing its readiness to bid) to providing in orbit performance feedback.

In this role you will support Equipment Specialists by monitoring supplier technical compliance and capability by trending delivered performance data.  You will also maintain and develop equipment mathematic models based on supplier data for use at payload level.

Tasks

The main roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance/ development of MPM power models
  • Trending of delivered equipment performance
  • Analysis of supplier non-conformances
  • Providing administrative and technical support to the Equipment Specialists
  • Generate / maintain Equipment performance database

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in electrical/ electronic engineering, mathematics or physics
  • Ideally knowledge of/an interest in high range frequency, telecoms, microwave
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A structured approach to work, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills

The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.

This role will be based in Portsmouth and will receive the full Airbus Defence & Space Graduate programme benefit package including an annual Salary of £27,000, plus a welcome payment of £2,000.
