The opportunity

Our 10-week UK summer Internship program is designed to give you insights into our industry and Allianz Commercial’s culture.

Starting on 10th June 2024, you'll have the opportunity to work across multiple teams within areas such as Underwriting, Claims, or Distribution. Here, you'll actively support team members in their day-to-day tasks while gaining a breadth of experience and exposure to different career pathways within the insurance industry and the London insurance market.

As part of a global cohort of interns, you will also be tasked with completing a project, collaborating closely with senior leaders to research a real-life problem. Additionally, you'll participate in training and insight sessions with our industry experts.

The impact you will have

Our internship is an ideal opportunity for anyone considering a career within insurance and will provide you with relevant experience that will enhance your academic skills, build your network and refine your professional skills and business acumen. Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Proactively support the Underwriting, Claims or Distribution process
• Deliver effective and efficient Underwriting, Claims or Distribution support for internal and external customers
• Proactively liaise with other functions to ensure timely and accurate policy administration
• Carry out independent research for your department

• Good computer skills, including MS/Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English language skills.

Eligibility

• The internship will run from 10th June to 16th August 2024. You must be available to work for the entire duration of the program.
• To be eligible you must have the legal right to work in the UK.
• This position is designed for, and ideally suited to, candidates currently in full-time higher education (e.g. Bachelors/Masters degree or equivalent). Those seeking a permanent opportunity are advised to apply to one of our other early careers programs or direct entry roles: Allianz Careers.

• This is a paid internship opportunity. Successful candidates will receive the London Living wage which is currently £13.15 per hour.
