A&M Debt Advisory supports Private Equity and Corporate clients through the economic cycle, providing value-add advice on debt raising, capital structure optimisation and navigating challenging situations. Our deep relationships across the lender community enable clients to access a broad range of liquidity pools.

Our Debt Advisory team includes highly respected ex-bankers and advisors with many years of expertise across the credit spectrum, working both with experienced borrowers and those approaching the debt markets for the first time. Members of the team have worked on transactions across all different types of borrowing instruments in both the private and public capital markets. Advice extends from optimising capital structures and reviewing financing options through to planning and execution including identifying potential lenders and investors, presenting the credit story, and negotiating optimal terms for clients.

About the role

As a result of our growth, our European team is expanding, and we are looking for a talented and ambitiousIntern to join our Debt Advisory team in London for 6 weeks this summer, beginning 8 July through to 16 August 2024 (fixed dates).

The main tasks will include

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial models including analysing business forecasts, scenario analysis and covenant sensitivities
  • Collaborating with the Debt Advisory team to prepare client presentations and pitch decks
  • Conducting research and analysis on the market, industry trends and competitor activities
  • Supporting the team with any Business Development projects and assignments.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A-level ABB (or equivalent)
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s-level degree (preferably in finance, economics or a related field, albeit not required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Interested in a career within Debt Advisory
