Summary
The DevOps Intern helps to support the development of software products, processes, and supporting systems. In this role, the DevOps Intern will collaborate with a team of expert professionals.
In the summer of 2024 we will have a vacancy in our Milton Park office for a 12 month placement within the Dev Ops team. This role is only available to current students who are eligibile to work in the UK. Salary is £23,490 pa.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Performs basic DevOps activities for ANSYS Fluids software products
- Works in a collaborative manner with members of the software development, infrastructure and testing teams
- Works with IT to maintain DevOps infrastructure
- Operates under direct supervision with work subject to frequent review by more experienced staff or DevOps Manager
Requirements and experience
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred qualifications and skills
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Linux shell scripting, Windows batch scripting and Perl)
- Familiarity with C/C++ programming
- Any experience with working on any open-source/third-party software
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
