About the role

This 12-month talent program is designed specifically for recent university grads, who graduated not more than 2 years ago and are seeking to build connections while taking part in a field-based, challenging, interactive and action-based learning curriculum. The program provides graduates with a platform to work hand in hand with experienced mentors to accelerate their career into the engineering business world and establish a solid foundation to build and develop their technical sales career at Arrow.

During this program, participants will develop both professional and soft skills to upscale career growth and will be able to meet with and learn from experts across the business from multiple departments including sales, engineering, services, marketing, finance, operations, and others.

Our accelerated learning platform will take you from recent graduate to industry professional within 1 year and will allow you to build a successful career in Arrow by taking full ownership of your job responsibilities and contribute to Arrow's development and success.

What you should expect from the role

Therefore, you will complete practical work alongside your personal and group projects. To collaborate with and support experts in their fields, following are the tasks you should expect being part of this program:

The EMEA Business Development Manager will be supporting Arrow’s EMEA Cyber Security Alliances team in driving and expanding the overall strategic plan and relationship with the vendors in our Cyber Security portfolio, ensuring business alignment, executive sponsorship, and development of the vendors within Arrow.

You will be responsible managing several of our Cyber Security vendors on EMEA level and support our local countries in developing the business. Furthermore, you will own an Arrow project on a yearly basis to support the development of Arrow’s processes and G2M strategy.

Demand and opportunity creation (specifically for Suppliers)

  • Run market analysis & analyze the internal history data (customer, sales…) to identify & target areas to create demand for Arrow.
  • Work with supplier and Arrow marketing to promote offerings & services and generate new business opportunities for the supplier.
  • Qualify prospects, analyze the sales potential and prioritize high return opportunities for further investment.
  • Understand and support the development of Cloud (ArrowSphere) and MSSP business.

Drive Specific Supplier Traction/ Engagement

  • Understand the supplier’s expectations, strategy, Critical success factors and go to market principles; Identify the appropriate solutions to match Arrow’s and its partners business needs.
  • To understand the suppliers commercial modelling and drive to maximise Arrow’s margin opportunity.
  • Understand Arrow resources/coverage available to support and how to leverage these at the appropriate time to close opportunities.
  • Develop strategic supplier business development, marketing & sales plans.
  • Shadow a Field Sales executive while they negotiate commercial contracts/deals with their Specific suppliers/Partners.

Relationships & Supplier Management

  • Support a senior Business Development Director to manage a specific supplier within Arrow EMEA and its respective countries.
  • Build supplier business relationships by having a good knowledge of current & future industry & competitor’s offerings, trends & technology.
  • Learn how to become embedded in Supplier specific suppliers, develop deep relationships vertically and horizontally.
  • Develop and maintain a broad relationship with suppliers & Arrow specific supplier countries.
  • Provide coordination, education and awareness for the Respective Arrow countries for that supplier.

This 12-month journey will allow you to learn how we operate on the day-to-day basis and how you can make an impact in supporting our suppliers.

Mandatory Requirements

  • You must have a legal right to work in the country where the position is located.
  • You should have successfully completed your Bachelor or Master degree in a Business related or relevant degree before October 2022 or maximum 2 years ago.
  • Business fluent English and ideally, local language (oral & written) where the job is based.
  • You must be flexible and have geographical mobility.
  • Creative, outside-the-box thinker who brings something new to the table and is not afraid to share those ideas.
  • Strong communication skills as well as fun in sales.
