Every year we welcome a new cohort of Graduates who join us for a 2-year rotational program based in our following office locations: New Jersey and Connecticut in the US, Bermuda, and in London, UK. Our Graduates rotate every few months within the business area they have selected. In 2023 we are looking for Graduates to join the following business teams: Underwriting, Finance, Group Operations (IT Analyst and Data Science Graduates), Risk & Compliance, Marketing & Distribution, and in our Actuarial Teams.
Please note, rotation plans are different for each business and are subject to change in duration based on business needs
Our next Graduate Program will begin in September 2023. Our Graduates will be fully supported through mentorship, career advising, gaining professional qualifications while receiving a competitive starting salary and flexible benefits.

Program Outline
Your new career path with Aspen will begin in September.
We will provide you with a mix of training from both internal subject matter experts and external thought leaders, workshops to help you gain a broader knowledge at Aspen, access to online learning, rotations with different teams across the business, and support to undertake professional qualifications.
Additionally, we will provide you with financial support to study towards professional, post graduate qualifications in your chosen field.
Insurance / Reinsurance Graduate Role
As an Underwriting Graduate you will have the opportunity to gain experience in some of the most specialist lines of business in Insurance or Reinsurance. Includes gaining understanding of different lines of business, build key relationships, and build your knowledge around the type of risks we write.
Eligibility:
- Must be eligible to work in the country you apply to. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- GPA of 3.0 or above if in U.S. and Bermuda or on track to receive 2:1 if in U.K. Will consider 2:2 for a right fit.
Risk & Compliance Graduate Role
As a Risk and Compliance Graduate, you will have the opportunity to work in different teams within our Risk & Compliance function. This gives you the opportunity to gain an understanding of different lines of business, build key relationships and build your knowledge around the type of risks we write.
Eligibility:
- Must be eligible to work in the country you apply to. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- GPA of 3.0 or above if in U.S. or on track to receive 2:1 if in U.K. Will consider 2:2 for a right fit.
Finance Graduate Role
The Finance Graduate Program is an excellent opportunity to gain a valuable insight in the finance department of a global insurance and reinsurance company. Includes experience in management accounts preparation, technical insurance accounting, tax preparation and internal audit.
Eligibility:
- Must be eligible to work in the country you apply to. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- GPA of 3.0 or above if in U.S. or on track to receive 2:1 if in U.K. Will consider 2:2 for a right fit.
- Preferred degree in or similar to if in U.S.: Math, Finance, Science, Technology, or Engineering.
- U.K. Graduates must have a good GCSE and A/AS Level grades, ideally having studied a numerical subject such as Mathematics to A or AS Level and achieved a B grade or above.
Marketing & Distribution Graduate
One of Aspen’s key strategic initiatives is to be externally focused on delivering value for our clients, brokers, and distribution partners. The Business Development team encompasses distribution, marketing, and events. It helps to ensure that Aspen’s capabilities and business appetite is effectively communicated to our clients and producers of business.
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Management, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or similar field of study
- U.K. Graduates on track to receive a 2:1. Consideration for 2:2 degree with right fit candidate
- U.S. Graduates with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
Actuary Graduate
As a Graduate Actuary at Aspen, you’ll be using your strong mathematics aptitude and analytical skills to fully understand the numbers behind our business. By using the tools to assess our past and present business and management data, you’ll help us to quantify the risks and probabilities of future events, providing us with actionable information and a competitive advantage.
Eligibility:
- We are looking for graduates who are highly numerate and are on track to achieve a 2:1 (U.K.) or a GPA of 3.0 or above (U.S.)
- You will be studying towards or have completed an Actuarial Science or a mathematically related degree at bachelor’s level or higher.
- In the U.K. you will have good GCSE and A/AS Level grades, ideally having studied a numerical subject such mathematics to A or AS Level and achieved a B grade or above.
- In the U.S. you have passed at least one actuarial exam.
Data Science Graduate
A Graduate Data Scientist will help us analyse large amounts of raw information to find patterns and use them to optimize our performance. You will build data products to extract valuable business insights, analyse trends and help us make better decisions. Our Aspen Values are expected to be reflected in the delivery and performance of every role.
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, MSISS, Actuarial & Financial, Business Studies, or other related disciplines
- U.S. Graduates with a GPA of 3.0 or above
IT Analyst Graduate
The IT Analyst Graduate will support end users in respect of issues or queries related to computer hardware or software – by responding to user enquiries, assessing problems/ issues, and helping to resolve these where possible or escalating where necessary. Our Aspen Values are expected to be reflected in the delivery and performance of every role.
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in computer science, information technology, telecommunications, or a related field.
- U.K. Graduates on track to receive a 2:1. Consideration for 2:2 degree with right fit candidate
Recruitment Process

You must have an unrestricted right to work in the country in which the role is based without the support of a work visa. You will be numerate, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be able to write fluently in business English.
Once we’ve received your application, we’ll review it and, if your application meets our Graduate Program criteria, you will be invited to complete an online psychometric test. If successful you will be invited to a video interview.
Throughout each stage of the recruitment process, you will be assessed according to set criteria and scoring based on our Graduate Behavioural Competency Framework. These competencies have been designed and aligned with Aspen’s culture, values and allow us to assess your suitability to our Program and to see if you have what it takes to be successful at Aspen.
Assessment Center
If you’re successful at the video interview stage, we’ll invite you to an in person or a virtual Assessment. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get to know us better and the day’s agenda will be divided into 3 components:
